
Foreign Affairs Minister Justin Tkatchenko has commended Bank South Pacific (BSP) Financial Group Limited for stepping up as the principal foundation partner for the PNG Chiefs, describing the landmark sponsorship as an unprecedented milestone for Papua New Guinea sport and international relations.
Speaking at the National Football Stadium during the official partnership announcement, Tkatchenko highlighted the national significance of the deal, which sees BSP commit AUD 5 million annually over four years, totalling approximately AUD 20 million, to secure the front-of-shirt sponsorship ahead of the Chiefs’ inaugural 2028 NRL season.
