
2025 was a year to reflect not only on the Bank’s institutional evolution, but also on its continuing responsibility to maintain the soundness of, and confidence in, the country’s monetary and financial system, says Chair of Bank of Papua New Guinea (BPNG) Sir Robert Igara.
In the Central’s bank 2025 Annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025, Sir Robert stated that during the year, reforms introduced under the amended Central Banking Act continued to take practical effect.
