
As Papua New Guinea celebrates its 51st Independence anniversary, Comrade Trustee Services Limited (CTSL) has challenged the nation to transition from political independence to true economic self-reliance, pointing to the country’s surging superannuation sector as the ultimate engine for national growth.
In an official Independence address, the trustee company for the Defence Force Retirement Benefits Fund (DFRBF) highlighted the extraordinary trajectory of PNG’s retirement savings, projecting that the industry’s asset base could skyrocket from its current K25 billion to over K1 trillion by 2075 if strict governance and strategic long-term investments are maintained.
