HealthTech Ireland has announced a number of new appointments.
Lauren Crampton has been appointed as the new Chair of the HealthTech Ireland’s Regulatory Affairs Working Group. She has served as Vice Chair of the group since the summer of 2023 and is a Regulatory Team Lead at Uniphar Medtech, holding a BSc in Veterinary Nursing and Applied Bioscience, an MSc in Biotechnology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Trial Research.
With more than 10 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, Ms Crampton began her career as a veterinary nurse, developing an early grounding in medical devices.
Over the past six years, she has consulted across a wide range of devices and jurisdictions, building deep expertise in the medical device regulation (MDR) and its evolving requirements.
Making the announcement of the appointment, HealthTech Ireland said: “Lauren brings a well‑rounded regulatory affairs perspective, combining academic knowledge with industry experience, and her core focus remains patient safety. We are delighted to welcome her into the Chair role.”
The organisation also welcomed the appointment of Lyndsey Watson, Country Manager at M3 Medical, to the Board of HealthTech Ireland.
In a statement, the organisation said Ms Watson “brings nearly 20 years of experience across the Irish healthcare sector, spanning Medtech distribution, digital health and clinical practice.
“Lyndsey has developed strong expertise in medtech distribution, working closely with clinicians and healthcare organisations to support the adoption of advanced medical technologies across Ireland. She also brings senior executive experience in digital health, with insight into innovation, commercial partnerships and the deployment of technology supporting the digital transformation of healthcare in Ireland.
“Lyndsey’s clinical background provides a first-hand understanding of patient pathways and care delivery. She is particularly motivated by opportunities to strengthen engagement across the healthcare sector and advance the role of technology in improving patient care.
“We are delighted to welcome Lyndsey to the Board and look forward to her contribution as we work to bridge innovation and implementation across the Irish health ecosystem.”
