Bougainville Copper Shares Plunge 25% After Government Suspends Exploration Rights

Bougainville Copper Limited (ASX: BOC) has suffered a dramatic 25% share price drop following news that the Autonomous Bougainville Government has suspended the company’s exploration rights over its flagship tenement.

The company confirmed last Wednesday that it has received correspondence from the Autonomous Bougainville Government’s Registrar of Tenements dated 16 June 2026, advising that its Exploration Licence No. 01 (EL01) has been effectively sidelined.
