Sydney-based clinical coding vendor Beamtree Holdings has secured a $2 million contract with Saudi Arabia’s Fakeeh Care Group to provide clinical coding, coding assurance and coding analytics services across the group’s hospitals.
The 12-month contract commenced in May and will support Dr Soliman Fakeeh Hospitals as Saudi Arabia introduces reforms to clinical coding practices and hospital funding reimbursement.
Beamtree said the agreement builds on its work in Saudi Arabia over the past four years, including a nationwide public hospital data quality audit for the Centre for National Health Insurance, implementation of its Performance Indicators for Coding Quality (PICQ) platform, development of the Kingdom’s health information strategy, and a commercial partnership with Lean Business Services.
While the contract is not annual recurring revenue (ARR), the company said similar consulting engagements had previously led to software-as-a-service sales in other markets. The agreement is subject to the usual rights of termination for non-performance.
Separately, Beamtree provided an interim update on its strategic review, with the Board confirming it had withdrawn its guidance for double-digit ARR growth in FY26 after determining a number of sales opportunities would not be completed before the end of the financial year. The company said it would continue to reduce costs and focus investment on product lines with the strongest growth potential.
Beamtree provides clinical coding, decision support and healthcare data analytics software and services to hospitals and health systems, with products including the PICQ coding quality platform, Health Roundtable benchmarking services, the Evolve data platform and RippleDown clinical decision support software.
