Castill Health plans Philippines launch, Aus + NZ expansion

Singapore-based digital healthcare company Castill Health is planning to launch a platform combining wearable health monitoring, personal health information and access to medical professionals in the Philippines later this year, with Australia and New Zealand identified as potential future markets.

The company is developing the platform to bring together data from connected consumer health devices and provide access to participating healthcare professionals through digital consultation services.

Its initial rollout is planned through Castillhealth.ph, although a launch date and the full range of services have yet to be confirmed.

Castill Health is developing two connected consumer devices – the Castill Health Band, designed to monitor activity and selected wellness indicators, and the Castill Health Smart Scale, which will record weight and supported body composition estimates.

Measurements from the devices are intended to be integrated into the company’s digital platform, allowing users to review their health information over time.

The company also plans to offer access to participating healthcare professionals through telephone consultations and secure electronic communications, subject to clinical partnerships and regulatory requirements.

Australian entrepreneur Craig Astill, alongside Caason Group and Castill Family Office, is supporting the venture’s commercial development and proposed regional expansion.

Following the Philippines launch, Castill Health plans to assess opportunities in other Southeast Asian markets, with Australia and New Zealand identified as possible longer-term markets.

Expansion into those countries would depend on regulatory approvals, clinical arrangements and commercial readiness.

The company is also considering the use of AI to organise and present connected health information, although it has not announced a timetable for introducing AI-assisted functionality.

Castill Health said its immediate priorities were preparing the Philippines platform, progressing development of its connected devices and establishing local healthcare partnerships.

The company has not yet confirmed which healthcare providers will participate in the initial rollout or when its consumer devices will become available.
