Employees of the Department of Health support their Minister because, as someone who came out of the system, he always has their back. That relationship hit a bit of a glitch when he deflected attention away from the real problems of his department and accused his own staff of stealing and selling pharmaceuticals-nobody was every charged or convicted. But he is a master of deflection. Now he is upset with the Australian media organisation Dateline for visiting POMGH without permission.
