Digicel PNG Foundation is strengthening its commitment to digital education by partnering with Cisco Networking Academy to provide students and teachers at select secondary schools across Papua New Guinea with access to free, industry-recognised digital skills training.
Hon. Anika Wells MP, Australian Minister for Communications & Sport, Hon. Robert Naguri MP, Minister for Information & Communications Technology and Hon. Francis Kikin Siune MP, Minister for Education, launched the partnership today at Jubilee Catholic Secondary School in Hohola, Port Moresby. The partnership builds on Digicel Foundation’s flagship BeLit Computer Lab program, which equips 50 secondary schools in 22 provinces with computer laboratories, devices and free internet access. Through the new collaboration, students and teachers will have access to structured online learning opportunities in digital literacy, cybersecurity, networking, programming, artificial intelligence and data science.
