Cattermole to leave ADHA for ATO role

Australian Digital Health Agency chief executive Amanda Cattermole PSM will leave the agency after six years to take up the role of chief operating officer at the Australian Taxation Office.

Ms Cattermole will begin the new role on November 2.

During her time as CEO, the agency has worked with governments, healthcare providers and industry on national digital health reforms, including Share by Default and the continued expansion of My Health Record.

It has also progressed national interoperability initiatives aimed at enabling health information to move more consistently across healthcare settings.

The ADHA Board said Ms Cattermole had made an “exceptional contribution” to the agency and the Australian health system during her tenure.

“Her deep commitment to public service and to work that touches the lives of almost every Australian has shaped her time in digital health and will continue in her new role,” the Board said.

“Her dedication to a strong, inclusive culture and her belief in the Agency’s people and purpose have created a lasting foundation for the future.”

ADHA chief program officer Paul Creech PSM will serve as acting CEO while the Board recruits a permanent replacement.
