Championship-winning coach PNG orchids Cathy Neap has been named head coach of the Papua New Guinea Prime Minister’s XIII Women’s team, leading a 20-player squad selected to take on Australia on home soil.
Neap’s appointment follows leading the Gas Resources Central Dabaris to back-to-back Santos Cup premierships in 2025 and 2026. Having guided the Dabaris since the inaugural Santos Cup competition in 2024, Neap now steps up to the international stage to direct PNG’s mix of emerging local stars and overseas-based talent.
