Australian health technology company EpiSoft has entered the Indonesian market with the implementation of its oncology electronic medical record at Kaiser Cancer Center in BSD City, Tangerang.
Kaiser Cancer Center said it was the first healthcare facility in Indonesia to implement EpiSoft as a fully digitised oncology EMR.
The women-focused cancer clinic is using the cloud-based platform for clinical workflows including infusion management, drug charting and pharmacy ordering.
Kaiser Cancer Center founder and managing director Dr Adithia Kwee said the platform’s integrated oncology protocols and tailored workflows were supporting the management of complex treatment regimens.
“EpiSoft’s integrated electronic oncology protocols and oncology-tailored workflows have been transformative for our clinical team,” Dr Kwee said.
“The system provides the precision and safety required to manage complex treatment regimens with confidence, allowing our doctors to focus entirely on patient outcomes.”
EpiSoft CEO Jenny O’Neill said the implementation marked the company’s entry into Indonesia.
“Our goal is to empower clinicians to deliver oncology care safely, efficiently and to the gold standard,” Ms O’Neill said.
“We look forward to continuing this partnership as they expand their reach across Jakarta.”
The market opportunity was initially introduced to EpiSoft through Austrade’s Landing Pad program, with JP Consulting subsequently assisting the company with its Indonesian market entry.
Further work is planned to integrate EpiSoft with Indonesia’s SATUSEHAT platform, develop eRequesting functionality with Kaiser Cancer Center’s laboratory partners and integrate the platform with the centre’s other clinical systems.
